If you have more than one dashboard available for users then you may wish to reorder them. When a user is assigned to more than one dashboard then the one listed first will be displayed to them.
Go to Quick-access menu > Navigation > Dashboards to view all dashboards.
Use the arrows in the Options columns to move a dashboard up or down.
Managing dashboard order with display position
You can easily control the order in which dashboards appear in the list by setting a display position. This makes it simpler to manage large numbers of dashboards, especially for organisations with complex configurations or multi-tenancy enabled.
Site Administrators can now:
Quickly set the display order when creating or editing a dashboard.
Easily reposition dashboards without needing to move them one place at a time.
Use flexible search and filtering options to find dashboards more efficiently.
Enable Manage dashboards
To enable the Manage dashboards feature
Go to Quick-access menu > Development > New and experimental > Early access
Select the Manage dashboards with enhanced controls checkbox (by default this is disabled).
A Display order field setting is available when creating or editing a dashboard.
The value entered determines the dashboard’s position in the list.
The list starts at 0, which represents the top position.
If no value is entered, the dashboard will appear below any dashboards that have a display order set.
For example:
Entering 0 will place the dashboard at the top of the list.
Entering 5 will place the dashboard after dashboards ranked 0 to 4.
Leaving the field blank will place the dashboard at the bottom.
Note: The dashboard listed at the top is the default homepage for users, unless the dashboard availability is set to Available only to the following audiences.
Updated Manage dashboards table
The Manage dashboards page is a embedded report. This provides additional flexibility to:
Search for dashboards using the standard Report builder search options.
Add or remove columns, including tenant information if multi-tenancy is enabled.
Apply filters to quickly locate specific dashboards.
