# Restore a file type

If you have previously deleted a file type and wish to restore it then you can do so following these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access > Server > File types*.
2. Click the downward arrow icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/download(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T05%3A48%3A42Z&se=2026-11-06T06%3A48%3A42Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=H07AP4cCsw9hJj6BYe39YOhaQcWOBAugvgNiqIhJ%2BeE%3D)) alongside the file type you wish to restore.
3. Click **Yes** to confirm.
