Restrict access based on groups

If you have set up groups in a course, it is possible to restrict access to an activity to members of a certain group or any group.

To do this, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the course and select Turn editing on.
2. Click Edit next to the activity for which you want to restrict access.
3. Expand the Restrict access section and click Add restriction.
4. You can select whether the learner must or must not match the specified completion criteria.
5. Select Group.
6. Select the relevant Group or (Any group) from the dropdown menu.
7. Then click Save and display or Save and return to course to confirm your selection.

You can also click the X delete icon to cancel without saving.
