View performance data for your team

Performance activity responses may be highly sensitive, so we’ve taken extra precautions to ensure that personal and private data is provided on a need-to-know basis only. If managers should have access to their team’s response data, you will need to add the Report on a performance activity subject responses capability (mod/perform:report_on_subject_responses) to the Staff Manager role.
Managers can then access their direct reports' responses in two different ways. Firstly, via the Team page:
- Go to Develop > Team (/my/teammembers.php) from the top navigation bar.
- Click the Performance data link next to the desired user.
Alternatively, managers can follow these steps to see response data for all of their direct reports:
- Go to Develop > Activities (/mod/perform/activity/index.php) from the top navigation bar.
- Click View response data.
Selecting View response data will take you to the Performance activity response data page, defaulting to the Browse by user tab. From here you can find the team members whose data you would like to view. Selecting the Performance data link for an individual user on the Team page will take you directly to the performance data record for that user. As a manager, you can view this data in an embedded Totara report. Here you can click the activity name to view responses or click the icon of three dots () and select Download to download their responses to that activity.
