# Add an external blog

If external blogs have been [enabled by a Site Administrator](/totara-20/docs/enable-external-blogs) then you can add external blogs to your account on Totara.

1. Open the user menu and go to *Preferences > Register an external blog*.
2. Configure the [settings](/totara-20/docs/external-blog-settings) as required.
3. Click **Save changes**.
