# Antivirus settings

Antivirus plugins can be useful tools for helping to keep your site safe. You can choose your preferred antivirus plugin by following these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Plugins > Antivirus plugins > Manage antivirus plugins.*
2. For the antivirus plugin you want to use, click the eye icon so that it is open. Only the **ClamAV antivirus** plugin is available by default. All settings from previous versions of Totara are maintained during an upgrade to this plugin (if they were set).
