Capabilities in Totara determine the actions a user can take on the system. It is important to know that the permissions and capabilities of each role can be customised. This means any role may have a different range of capabilities on your site compared to the default setup.
To check the capabilities for a role, follow these steps:
- Go to Quick-access menu > Permissions > Capability overview.
- Select one or more capabilities from the Capability setting.
- Select one or more roles from the Roles setting.
- Click Get the overview.
The results will be displayed in a grid, and cells will say Allow when the role has the corresponding capability.
