# Create a forum activity

To add a forum activity to your course page, follow these steps:

1. Click **Turn editing on**.
2. Select **Forum** from the **Add an activity/ resource** menu.
3. Customise the available [settings](/totara-20/docs/forum-activity-settings).
4. Click **Save and display** (or **Save and return to course**).
