# Create a page resource

The page module enables a trainer to create a web page resource using the text editor. A page can display text, images, sound, video, web links, and embedded code, such as Google Maps.

To compose a page:

1. Click the **Turn editing on** button.
2. Click **Page** from the **Add a resource** menu.
3. Enter a name for the page.
4. Write a **Description** if required.
5. Create your web page content using the text editor.
6. Set the **Appearance** to display the page name and/or the page description.
7. Complete [common module settings](/totara-20/docs/common-module-settings) if required.
8. Complete [restricting access](/totara-20/docs/restricting-access-to-course-activities) if required.
9. Complete [activity completion](/totara-20/docs/activity-completion) if required.
10. Enter [tags](/totara-20/docs/what-are-tags) if required.
11. Click **Save changes**.
