# Delete a performance activity

If you no longer want or need a [performance activity](/totara-20/docs/what-are-performance-activities) then you can delete it by following these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Activity management* (/mod/perform/manage/activity/index.php)*.*
2. Click the icon of three dots (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/three_dots(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T08%3A01%3A41Z&se=2026-11-06T09%3A01%3A41Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=kMrzok%2FumGA5lpRvnqdE2QZIPoncld35mx2%2BXcHMv90%3D)) alongside the activity you wish to delete.
3. Select **Delete** from the dropdown list.

Deleting a performance activity will also remove all related subject and participant instances, as well as all users' responses.

There may be times when participants in performance activities want to remove their responses. It is also important to allow users to remove any information that could be used to identify them. As a Site Administrator you can configure [export](/totara-20/docs/create-an-export-type) and [purge types](/totara-20/docs/create-a-purge-type) on your site to allow users to see and remove the data contained in their performance activities.
