Instead, if you don't want users to see it then you will need to [archive it](/totara-20/docs/archive-a-site-policy). You can, however, delete an unpublished version of a site policy if you no longer want it. If the unpublished version is the only version of the site policy then this will delete the policy entirely. 1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Security > Site policies > Manage policies**.* 2. Click the name of the policy you wish to delete. 3. Click the cross icon (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/thin_cross.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-06T06%3A53%3A32Z&se=2026-11-06T07%3A53%3A32Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=SpHyD1p800sx9lQ2zAirKIj%2BBlhBRmSa15lCIKx1CDQ%3D)) next to the policy version. 4. Click **Delete** on the confirmation screen. The policy version will be removed from the site. ## Next steps - [Archive a site policy](/totara-20/docs/archive-a-site-policy) - [Create a new version of a site policy](/totara-20/docs/create-a-new-version-of-a-site-policy) - [Edit a site policy](/totara-20/docs/edit-a-site-policy) - [Site policy settings](/totara-20/docs/site-policy-settings) Join the [Totara Community](https://totara.community/) for more resources to help you get the most out of Totara. © Copyright 2026 Totara Learning Solutions.
