# Move content between performance activity sections

If you have set up multiple sections in a [performance activity](/totara-20/docs/what-are-performance-activities-1), you can move [content and questions](/totara-20/docs/add-content-to-a-performance-activity-1) between sections by following these steps:

1. Select the **Content** tab in the performance activity.
2. Click **Edit content elements** for the section containing the question you wish to move.
3. For the content or question you want to move, click the icon of three dots (![](https://cdn.document360.io/a007399b-031e-436b-999a-528240e16f58/Images/Documentation/image-1641982790008.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-11-01T18%3A11%3A31Z&se=2026-11-01T19%3A11%3A31Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=O9h3fqLUM8h8SZmYUs5YxtMR5jf98K5Qb0dD0UF%2F95M%3D)), then select **Move to another section**.
4. A pop-up window will indicate which section you are moving the content from. Select the section you want to move the content to using the **Move to** dropdown list.
5. Click **Move** and the content will immediately move to the new section.

Note that you can't move content and questions between sections once the activity is active.
