# Reclassify organisations in bulk

Bulk reclassification allows you to reclassify all [organisation](/totara-20/docs/what-are-organisations) items assigned to a particular organisation type to another organisation type.

To bulk reclassify organisations, follow these steps:

1. Go to *Quick-access menu > Organisations.*
2. Click **Manage organisations**.
3. Click the name of the organisation framework containing the items you want to reclassify.
4. Select **Re-classify items** from the **Bulk actions** dropdown list.
5. Scroll down to the **Bulk re-classification** section at the bottom of the **Manage organisation types** page.
6. Select the **Type** you wish to reclassify from the dropdown box.
7. On the **Re-classifying** page you can see the number of organisation items to be reclassified.
8. Click **Choose** next to the **Type** you want to assign to the reclassified items.
9. A warning message appears detailing the change.
10. Click **Re-classify items**.

The items have now been reclassified.
