# Set up mobile authentication

As a Site Administrator you can configure your app's mobile authentication by opening the quick-access menu and navigating to *Plugins > Mobile > Mobile authentication* (/admin/settings.php?section=totaramobileauthentication).

| **Setting** | **Description** |
| --- | --- |
| Type of login | This setting determines the type of authentication that will be used when users log in to the mobile app. There are three options for the [authentication workflow](/totara-20/docs/mobile-authentication): - Native - Webview - Mobile browser |
| Time-out period | Set the length of time before a user times out of the app and needs to reauthenticate. Choose from: - Never - 1 day - 30 days - 60 days - 90 days |
