Create an approval workflow type

When using approval workflows you can set up multiple workflow types. For example, if there are different forms within your organisation that you wish to represent, these could each be a different workflow type. Workflow types also enable some types of aggregated reporting across different workflows that share a type.
To create a new workflow type, follow these steps:
- Go to Quick-access menu > Approval workflows > Manage approval workflow types.
- Click Add workflow type.
- Give the new workflow a Type name. This must be unique.
- Optionally add a Type description to give a more detailed outline of the scope or purpose of the workflow type.
- Click Add.
You will then be taken back to the Manage approval workflow types page, where you can view and manage your workflow types. To edit an existing workflow type, click the pencil icon ().
