Here is an overview of the process for setting up a quiz activity.
- Add a quiz activity to a course and configure the activity settings.
- Add questions to your quiz, selecting from the range of available question types and configuring the settings for each question.
- Configure the feedback for the quiz.
- Start using your quiz.
Troubleshooting: Unable to duplicate a quiz
When attempting to duplicate a quiz activity, you may find that nothing happens, or the process appears to start but is never completed. If this happens, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Quick-access menu > Courses and categories > Backups > General backup defaults (admin/settings.php?section=backupgeneralsettings).
- Ensure that Include question bank is set to the default of Yes. Note that disabling this setting will disable the backup of activities which use the question bank, such as the quiz.
- Try duplicating the quiz again.
- If the quiz is not successfully duplicated, check the full error message to see if any plugins are mentioned. If there are any third-party plugins being used, disable these plugins. If this doesn't work then disable the plugins one by one and attempt to duplicate the quiz again.
