Instead of creating a new program, you may want to duplicate an existing program. Any users with the Clone program (totara/program:cloneprogram) capability can duplicate a program. To duplicate a program, follow these steps:
Navigate to the program either by:
Going to the Explore catalogue, clicking on the specific program, then clicking the three dots (
) in the top-right corner of the page and selecting Edit program details.
Going to Quick-access menu > Programs, then selecting the program category containing the program to be cloned and clicking the cog icon (
) for the program.
Click the three dots (
) in the top-right corner of the page and select Clone program.
Select the components you want to copy from the following:
Copy details
Copy content
Copy notifications
Click Clone.
Note that program assignments and completion records cannot be cloned.
If you have the Edit program capability you can now configure the new program as required (users without this capability will instead see the Overview tab). By default the new program will be hidden. You can now update the Full name and Short name, and give the program a new Program ID.
