AI summary for Files

When uploading files through the Weka editor, users can generate a summary of the file contents using the AI summary files feature. The generated summary is then displayed on the file card.

The AI Summary for Files feature allows content creators to automatically generate a short description when uploading a file using the Weka content editor. This feature is available wherever the Weka editor is used across Totara, making it easy to enrich your resources with helpful summaries.

The generated summary appears directly on the file card visible to learners—giving them a clear, concise overview of what the file contains before they choose to open or download it.

Using AI Summary file

1. Within the Weka editor upload your file either by selecting attach and choosing the file, or drag and drop the file directly into the editor.

2. Once the file is uploaded click the sparkle icon ( ) on the file card.

   

3. From the AI assist pop-up click Summarise

4. Review the AI generated summary and click Add summary.
