You can add a Featured links block to a dashboard (this differs from the methods used for adding it in other locations).
- Go to Quick-access menu > Appearance > Dashboards.
- Create a new dashboard or open an existing dashboard.
- Turn Blocks editing on.
- Select the plus icon (
) in the required block region and choose Featured Links. - Within the Featured links block, click the Add Tile button.
- Configure the settings to your preferences.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 required.
- Click Save changes.
When adding content to a tile you can add placeholders in the Description field. This allows you to include information about the user viewing the block, such as their name or institution. You can do this either by typing the [ key and selecting a placeholder from the list, or by entering the placeholder syntax.
