Manage time to readiness taxonomies

To view all existing time to readiness taxonomies, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Quick-access menu > Plugins.

  2. In the Local plugins section, click Totara Skills, then select Time to readiness taxonomies.

  3. Review the list of existing time to readiness taxonomies.

Add a time to readiness taxonomy

To add a new time to readiness taxonomy, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Quick-access menu > Plugins.

  2. In the Local plugins section, click Totara Skills, then select Time to readiness taxonomies.

  3. Click Add new taxonomy.

  4. Configure the settings.

  5. Click Save changes.

Once a taxonomy is saved, users are automatically categorised as Fast, On-time or Slow based on the configured thresholds.

Edit a time to readiness taxonomy

To edit an existing time to readiness taxonomy, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Quick-access menu > Plugins.

  2. In the Local plugins section, click Totara Skills, then select Time to readiness taxonomies.

  3. Locate the taxonomy you wish to edit in the list.

  4. Click the cog icon () next to the relevant entry.

  5. Once you’ve finished editing the taxonomy, click Save changes.

Delete or hide a time to readiness taxonomy

To delete or hide a time to readiness taxonomy that is no longer required, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Quick-access menu > Plugins.

  2. In the Local plugins section, click Totara Skills, then select Time to readiness taxonomies.

  3. Locate the taxonomy you wish to remove.

  4. To delete the taxonomy, click the X icon ( ) next to the relevant entry. If you don’t want to remove it completely, you can instead hide it by clicking the eye icon ( / ).

Configuration settings

The following settings can be configured when adding or editing a time to readiness taxonomy:

The name of the time to readiness taxonomy.

Fast

The maximum number of days within which a user is considered to have reached full proficiency Fast.

Required.

On-time

The maximum number of days within which a user is considered to have reached full proficiency On-time.

Required. Must be greater than the Fast value.

Description

A description of the taxonomy for informational purposes only.

Optional.
